Mr Tehran (Morteza) is your man in Iran.
Morteza - "Mr. Tehran" - is not only your best bet for Tehran but in fact he can arrange every tour around Iran for you, support your visa, help you with exchange, transfers, sim card etc. Name it and he can do it. But apart from that, he is one of the friendliest and funny tour guides you have ever met.
I was in contact with Morteza from the year 2020 but that visit to Iran had been canceled due to the pandemic.Right from the start he was so kind and helpful, fluent in English, gave me all the valuable information regarding my plan, answered all my questions from the best itinerary to practical tips, visa, ways of transport, sim cards, exchange and many more. All this period he was so courteous, knowledgeable and kept me updated about the situation and when the country opened for tourism, i finally made it there. And he gave me my best tour guide experience, because he is so passionate with what he does and he definitely cares. Always there for you with a big smile, taking care of every detail and ready to meet your needs. I feel so lucky to find Morteza and now i consider him more like a friend than a guide.
Although i arrived in Iran during Nowruz, without any bookings, he is so capable and managed all the last minute arrangements for me. My visit to Kashan wouldnt be better, from the lovely appartment he booked, to every place we visited (Agha Bozorg Mosque , Sultan Amir Bathhouse, Fin Garden, Bazaar of Kashan & caravansarai, Tabatabaei historical house, Shrine of Hilial Ibn Ali) not to mentioned the best local food in some traditional restaurants to the amazing saffron ice cream and the cherry faloodhe at the famous Shekariz Faloodeh shop. He knows the city very well but that goes to every place in the country.
Then i had tours with him in Tehran and Darband. Thanks to him i spent three great days in the Iranian capital which were my best days during the whole trip. Because not only he took me to the best spots ( Azadi Tower, Milad Tower, Tajrish Bazaar, Imam Zadeh Saleh mosque,Tabiat Bridge, Shirne of Khomeini, Golestan Palace, Gran Bazaar) but also shared a lot of knowledge about his country and the Iranian people that gave me a good perspective and made me look forward to explore more.During those days, we had great conversations and I enjoyed his company always with good mood, positive energy and great dose of humour. Morteza knows Tehran like no one else, he can make the perfect plan according to the traffic conditions and he has always interesting ideas to share when plan A is not working. For examble due to public holiday (Nature day) , covid restrictions and also Ramadan i couldnt visit some places (Treasure of National Jewels) or couldnt find open restaurants near the Grand Bazaar. He introduced me to some other parts of the city instead (Oudlajan District) and even found a restaurant to eat behind closed doors! And i will never forget the treat at the end of the tour: amazing carrot juice with saffron ice cream.
Finally at the end of my trip he warmly dropped me off at the airport for my flight back . Such a kind man that he even waited there to make sure everything is okay with my flights because the airline company had send me some last minute changes and I wasnt sure for my flights.
I usually travel solo & independently, so I started my trip from the south heading from Shiraz, to Yazd and Esfahan where I wanted to be on my own but even during those days Morteza provided all the necessary support because he has the experience to know what you would enjoy and shared all of his great ideas. But after having this memorable tour days, I am prety sure that my experience would have been even better if I had a full tour in Iran with him.
So, If you plan to visit Iran, contact Morteza, i cannot recommend him more! Iran has so much to offer and I am sure you won’t regret choosing him to arrange your trip to this amazing country!
